March 2024 - Education Technology Centre, Ministry of Education has conducted a socialisation visit to schools to brief on Edtech Centre's initiatives such as Digital Resource Management System (DRMS), MOE TV, Centralised Digital Signage and Smart Classroom. The main objective of the visit is to promote educational innovation and examine their readiness for future educational technology.
Unlocking Creativity: Maktab Duli Teachers Explore E-book Creation

14th February 2024 - The Education Technology Centre (EdTech), Ministry of Education, recently held a sharing session at Maktab Duli to introduce educators to the potential of e-books. This program aligns with the Ministry's goal of promoting creative learning environments through the use of technology. The training taught participants how to use the interactive features of e-books in their classrooms. These capabilities give teachers and students a significant advantage over traditional textbooks by allowing them to receive a more immersive learning experiences. The workshop also discussed how e-books might provide new resources based on individual student accomplishment, thereby improving their educational experiences.
The program provided an excellent learning experience for the Maktab Duli teachers, who were quite enthusiastic. Participants actively engaged in discussions regarding practical strategies for incorporating e-books into their courses across disciplines and learning styles. Furthermore, the initiative explored new methods to use e-books for interactive activities, motivating classroom discussions, and formative assessments. EdTech considers that e-books have the potential to enhance education by creating a more engaging and personalized learning environment for all students. The session ended with a discussion about potential e-book applications in the classroom.

VISIT FROM Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah TO EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

On 6th January 2024, we were delighted to welcome a delegation of Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah's teachers, led by their principal, Dk. Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pg. Haji Ahmad. This visit was a fantastic opportunity to present our Education Technology Centre's unique work and discuss new areas for collaboration.
The visit started with a warm welcome in our department's conference room. We provided a detailed summary of our team's involvement at the Centre, including our key activities and long-term goals. This interactive training provided a deeper understanding of our mission and the potential influence on enriching learning experiences. Following the introduction, we went on a guided tour of our department's workspace.
Teachers were especially interested by our editing facilities, audio studios, green screen studios, and innovative Augmented Reality (AR) and Interactive Panel technology. Recognizing this, we explored deeper into these topics, highlighting their significance and potential applications in the classroom. The tour concluded with an interesting question and answer session, during which Maktab Duli PMAMB teachers actively inquired about the use of these technologies. The principal, Dk. Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pg. Haji Ahmad, delivered enlightening speech before presenting a token of appreciation to the Education Technology Centre.
This visit gave an excellent opportunity to establish relationships between our institutions and examine approaches for utilizing educational technology to improve learning outcomes for Brunei students.

VISIT FROM SEKOLAH MENENGAH MENGLAIT GADONG TO EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY CENTRE
We had the privilege of facilitating a demonstration on the use of virtual classroom devices at PTE Meragang School. The session brought together the school’s principal and teachers who are directly involved in the virtual classroom project.
As part of our role, we showcased how these devices can be utilized for various activities and in applicable scenarios for remote learning and teaching. The demonstration emphasized the incredible potential of virtual classroom devices to transform the educational experience.
During the interactive sessions, we guided the participants through engaging virtual lessons and seamless collaboration between students and teachers. It was inspiring to witness how these tools can bridge the gap between physical and remote learning environments.
This demonstration was a significant step in the train-the-trainer program, empowering these knowledgeable teachers to share their expertise with their peers. By equipping them with the skills to effectively use virtual classroom devices, we aim to facilitate the broader adoption of remote teaching methodologies throughout the school.
We extend our gratitude to PTE Meragang School for hosting this informative session. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by the principal and teachers involved in the virtual classroom project were truly commendable. We are excited to continue supporting their efforts in shaping the future of education through virtual classroom devices.
Aktiviti Pembentukan Kompetensi bagi Pusat Teknologi Pendidikan . Antara agendanya adalah Introduction to MOE Competency Framework, Developing Specialized Competency using AKSM Mode dan juga Developing Job Competency Profile Matrix. Bengkel dijalankan pada 15 – 18 Mac 2023 bertempat di Training Room 1, Pusat Pembelajaran Sepangjang Hayat.
1st Place Winner : Cikgu Hjh Junaidah Bte Hj Md Tahir, Nooraliham Bin Hj Muhammad and Mohammad Zhahir Bin Brahim.
Their proposed solution was to develop dedicated online Notebook to conslidate data and information that could be divided into multiple sections, pages and sub-pages. This helps them to organise and retrieve data and information fast and easy. The data and information can also be updated and edited by all members instead of single person.
