Blended
Learning
Blended learning is another approach to education that combines the best of both worlds - traditional classroom instruction and digital technology. The Ministry of Education has developed guidelines on how to effectively implement blended learning in the classroom. These guidelines provide teachers with the tools they need to create engaging and interactive lessons that blend the best of both worlds.
With blended learning, students have access to a wealth of digital resources, tools and interactive activities that keep them engaged and motivated. . This approach not only enhances student learning but also makes the learning process more engaging, fun and exciting.
Blended Learning Models
A class's students rotate through various learning activities, at least one of which is online learning. This model can be implemented in schools in one of two ways:
Station Rotation
The Station Rotation model is a way for students to rotate through different learning activities on a schedule set by their teacher. This schedule includes at least one station that involves online learning, where students can access interactive materials and resources, and work on activities independently or in groups. This model is often used in primary and secondary schools because it allows teachers to use different activities and methods to teach the same subject. It also enables students to learn at their own pace and style while receiving guidance and support from their teachers. It is a common and well-known method among teachers and students.
